Australian designed and continually innovated, the Galleymate range of caravan and marine BBQs is perfect for boats, caravans, RVs, and camping. These units are specifically built for Australian conditions, using marine-grade 316 stainless steel and featuring specially designed 443 stainless steel hotplates for even heat distribution.
All Galleymate BBQs are AGA certified and come with flame failure devices, which are legally required for BBQs in enclosed spaces. This makes the Galleymate range the strongest and safest BBQs for you and your family year-round. Each unit is backed by a 5-year warranty, the longest in the market.
The burners in the Galleymate range produce 21 MJ or 20,000 BTU of heat, making them the hottest caravan and RV BBQs available. This heat is managed by two independent burners. The lid is specially designed to provide protection against the wind and the burners are also well protected, allowing cooking in strong winds (up to 50 km/hr). This is a must have feature for a marine BBQ. Even if the wind becomes more extreme than this a large heat-resistant glass viewing window at the top of the BBQ will allow you to continue cooking while still monitoring the food.
With the introduction of the thermocouples the burners can't extend the full length of the plate. This is because of Australian law and the requirements for flame failure protection in all plumbed in BBQ's. As such a "cold spot" occurs along the gas control side of the plate. This is exagerated for the half half grills due to more heat being lost through the grill half. The plate is 3 mm thick 430 stainless - which is great for holding heat and heat distribution but cold spots do occur on the BBQ's along the right side of the BBQ plate. It is also strongly recommended to season the stainless steel plates before use as this will make cleaning them much easier over time.
